With what we know about COVID-19, spitting has become pretty gross... as if it already wasn't. What was grosser, though, was when Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters appeared to spit at Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry on Monday night.

Peters has since been fined $12,500 for the incident, according to Daniel Oyefusi of the Baltimore Sun. The 27-year-old is appealing the fine, according to his agent.
On Thursday, Landry called Peters a "coward" for spitting at/on him. Peters later responded, denying the allegations and saying that anyone who knows him knows he wouldn't do such a thing.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh also spoke with Landry after the game, telling the wide receiver that he didn't think Peters directed the spit at him.
The Ravens ended up beating the Browns 47-42 in one of the best games of the NFL season. Both sides are hoping to meet once again in the playoffs.
