The Pittsburgh Steelers have added an inside linebacker to their Week 11 roster, elevating Tariq Carpenter from their practice squad to the active/inactive list for their matchup with the Cleveland Browns.

With Kwon Alexander becoming the Steelers second inside linebacker in two weeks to end up on Injured Reserve, Pittsburgh is looking at their practice squad options as replacements for he and Cole Holcomb. The Steelers will add Carpenter while also signing Mykal Walker to their 53-man roster.

Carpenter was elevated to the active/inactive list for Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers. In his first NFL game, he recorded a tackle on special teams.

The undrafted rookie out of Georgia Tech originally signed with the Packers and made the switch from safety to linebacker during training camp. He was released just before the season before being signed to the Steelers practice squad.

He told All Steelers his goal in his first NFL game was to "Make sure I get to put it on again. Solidify myself." He'll now get another shot to prove himself in Pittsburgh.
